About
The Cozy Blueprint is the residential practice of Sanbir Sidhu, a licensed architect in California and Illinois with over ten years in the profession. That experience spans nearly every typology: mixed-use residential towers, schools, civic work, transit, airports. Big projects teach discipline: coordination, code, documentation, and how to get a design through a building department.
Residential is where all of it comes home. A house is the one building type where the client and the occupant are the same person, and getting it right matters every day they live in it. The name is the point: a good home is a place that fits. The Cozy Blueprint designs homes, additions, and ADUs that are practical to build, sensible to permit, and comfortable to live in.

Things that matter for us
Good residential design is durable, efficient, and healthy to live in. These are the things we pay attention to on every project, whether it's a new house, an addition, or an ADU.

*
Green Building Design
Green building design aims to minimize environmental impacts by incorporating strategies such as energy efficiency, water conservation, natural lighting, and natural ventilation.
*
Energy Efficiency
Energy efficiency focuses on reducing energy consumption through design and systems. Well-insulated buildings, energy-efficient lighting, and HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) systems contribute to energy savings.
*
Natural Lighting
Natural lighting aims to maximize the use of daylight in interior spaces. Factors such as proper orientation, window size and placement are considered in building design. This reduces the need for artificial lighting and saves energy.
*
Sustainable Materials
Sustainable materials are selected to preserve natural resources, reduce environmental impacts, and have recyclability. Examples include recycled materials, natural wood, bamboo, and low VOC (volatile organic compound) paints.
